Three new service points for low-income clients

Le Bonhomme has returned to its roots. We have opened three service points for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness. The objective is still the same: to serve disadvantaged customers and contribute, in our own way, to their social reintegration.

Here are a few key points to bear in mind:

For Social Assistance Recipients

Welfare recipients can get glasses for as little as $10. Our prices, which have remained the same since 2007, have been set according to the social assistance reimbursement chart. However, there's a form to get and fill out first. To find out more, visit our social assistance page.

We Always Try to Find a Solution

From the very beginning, we've been saying that seeing clearly is not a luxury. Do you know someone who needs glasses but doesn't qualify for social assistance? We're here to help. Between solving the problem and not making any money, and not solving the problem and not making any money, for us, the choice is clear. We've solved hundreds of problems like this since 2007.

This is For Everyone, No Exceptions

Some people mistakenly believe that our service is only for people with (very) low incomes. Not true! Bonhomme à lunettes is anybody who want to save money on an essential purchase while helping to fund local community organizations.

Three new service points for low-income clients

Mission Old Brewery – Ville-Marie | Downtown

We are honoured to partner with a community organization whose history goes back over 130 years. Please note that this time slot is open to all, whether or not they are Mission users.

Two important things to remember : it is essential to have a prescription (we do not do eye examinations) and the social assistance form (if necessary). This also applies to the following two points of service.

Accueil Bonneau – Ville-Marie | Old Montréal

Un autre organisme vénérable. A fixture of Old Montreal for almost a century and a half. As with Mission Old Brewery, our service is not reserved exclusively for Accueil users. We welcome all who wish to come see us.

Multicaf – Côte-des-Neiges

Multicaf meets the food needs of local residents depuis 1989. We had a point of service on their premises at the turn of the 2010s, and we're delighted to be able to return on a weekly basis.

In all, we have more than 25 points of service on the island of Montreal. If none of the three above suits you, check out our schedule to see all of our service points.
