Excellent question! Created in 2007, Bonhomme \u00e0 lunettes is a community eyewear store<\/a> dedicated to making eyewear purchases accessible to everyone. Thanks to an innovative (and much-imitated) business model, we offer customers inexpensive eyewear without sacrificing quality or service. We have partnerships with many community organizations that allow us to set up shop in their space each week. In exchange, our operations help generate funds to support their work. In fact, we have donated more than 1.5M to our partners<\/a> depuis nos d\u00e9buts il y a vingt ans de cela.<\/p>\n Thanks to accessible prices<\/a>, excellent guaranties and attentive, respectful customer service, we've earned the trust of people from Montr\u00e9al, Mont\u00e9r\u00e9gie, Lanaudi\u00e8re, the Laurentians, Centre-du-Qu\u00e9bec, Mauricie and the Eastern Townships.<\/p>\n Some of you may remember that we used to stop in Gatineau several years ago. We actually had two very popular locations there, but unfortunately, two disasters that struck within less than a year brought that chapter to a close: the 2019 floods and the pandemic.<\/p>\n Philippe Rochette, founder of Bonhomme \u00e0 lunettes, ultimately had to resign himself, explaining that:<\/p>\n \u201c\u00a0Before the pandemic hit, we looked at a number of ways we could go back to Gatineau, but our particular business model made this a bit more complicated. Truth be told, I had kind of written it off as a possibility and had come to terms with the fact that our Saint-Andr\u00e9 location would be our only point of service in the Outaouais region<\/em>. \u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n But they hadn\u2019t counted on the vitality of the local community. After realizing there was a significant need for our services in the region, a group of stakeholders came together. They proposed solutions so that people in Gatineau and the surrounding area could also enjoy excellent value for money when buying eyeglasses, as evidenced by the results of a survey made by Verdict Sant\u00e9 de Prot\u00e9gez-vous<\/a>.<\/p>\n We would like to take this opportunity to thank our partners for their warm welcome every week!<\/p>\n Le Centre d'animation familiale de Gatineau is a community organization that provides families with a welcoming environment that fosters mutual support, the development of parenting skills, and children\u2019s well-being.<\/p>\n Le Centre d'action b\u00e9n\u00e9vole de Hull plays a vital role in the community by fostering civic engagement and supporting people in vulnerable situations.
