Bonhomme \u00e0 lunettes certainly contributes to this, as we are only a few players away from having a full starting eleven from France. So it was high time we introduced you to some of our colleagues from Europe. The first to take the plunge is Claire.<\/p>\n It came about by a combination of circumstances and a bit by chance. 20 years ago, I was trying to find my way. After failing my first year of medicine, I was looking for a course of study that would combine paramedical and medical work with contact with people. I knew absolutely nothing about the world of optics! I fell into it and it revealed my passion.<\/p>\n Another happy coincidence! I answered an advert and after the interview, Philippe told me he'd chosen someone else. I crossed my fingers that he would call me back, and a few months later he did! So here I am, working with a great team of serious professionals who don't take themselves too seriously.<\/p>\n The nickname Zelda came from the fact that I'm a video game fan. I guess Assassin's Creed would have been a bit too intense. (We'd like to take this opportunity to say hello to our neighbors at Ubisoft on Saint-Viateur!)<\/p>\n My answer is going to be a bit corny.(the expression in French was bateau, which I had to look up on Google)<\/a>I love EVERYTHING about my job, and even more so working with passionate colleagues. The difference now, compared to other companies I've worked for, is that I can offer products that are really affordable for everyone!<\/p>\n The biggest difference between opticians in France and opticians in Quebec, for me and at the time, was the recognition of the profession when I arrived. The biggest difference was also the feeling that you're part of a profession. That my diploma allowed me to do things that other people without a diploma couldn't do.
