Basically, this Code of Ethics is there to protect the public. If you consult the many articles, you'll see that the document does indeed seek to protect you from a panoply of potential abuses.<\/p>\n<p>Here's an article we'd like to tell you about today:<\/p>\n<p><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.legisquebec.gouv.qc.ca\/fr\/document\/rc\/O-6,%20r.%203#se:3_09_03\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>3.09.03.<\/strong><\/a><strong>\u00a0The dispensing optician cannot use a testimonial of support or recognition that concerns him.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>L'Ordre des opticiens believes that positive comments made by customers on our own social networks constitute \u201ctestimonials of support\u201d and that by allowing them to be published in our comments sections, we are \u201cusing\u201d them, thereby contravening the profession's code of ethics.<\/p>\n<p>Every week, we see and hear from people who share their positive experiences with us through word-of-mouth, on their own social networks, or elsewhere on the web.
