We are very pleased to announce some excellent news for the residents of Sainte-Marie and Centre-Sud: Le Bonhomme à lunettes now offers a new service point at Centre Jean-Claude Malépart.
Thanks to this partnership, our community eyewear store sets up shop there every Friday, allowing residents of the neighborhood and surrounding areas to obtain affordable, quality eyewear.
A sizable presence in Centre-Sud
For nearly 20 years, Bonhomme à lunettes has been committed to making eyewear accessible to everyone. This accessibility is achieved through affordable glasses, but also by its proximity to local communities. In the case of the Centre Jean-Claude Malépart, accessibility is enhanced by its convenient location less than deux minutes from Frontenac metro.
This is our 27th service point on the island of Montreal, and our second in Centre-Sud, after the one at Centre communautaire de loisirs Sainte-Catherine-d’Alexandrie. In addition, we have service points at PITREM un Tétreaultville, as well as at Chic Resto-Pop in Hochelaga and at Action Centre-Ville in Quartier des spectacles. As a result, our offering in the eastern portion of the Green Line has never been so diverse and accessible.
A Service Open to Everyone, No Appointment Necessary
Although some activities at Centre Jean-Claude Malépart are reserved for members and residents of the neighborhood, our eyewear service is open to everyone, regardless of income or zip code. All you need to visit us is a valid prescription.

Open since 1996, le Centre Jean-Claude Malépart is a sports, cultural, and community center entirely dedicated to the people of Centre-Sud. It offers a wide variety of activities in modern, welcoming, and accessible facilities.
Managed by a nonprofit organization, the Centre's mission is to be a true community hub, promoting social interaction, well-being, skills development, and inclusion. We are extremely proud to now be part of the services offered by one of the largest sports and recreation centers in Montreal.
