GLASSES
FOR INDIGENOUS PEOPLE

You are a First Nations person and

you want to buy glasses?

Here's how it works:

1_

TAKE AN
Exam

For that, you need to make an appointment with an optometrist. Don't forget to mention your identification number.

In many cases, the exam will be free. Ask your optometrist to check the rates for First Nations people.

2_

COME
SEE US

Check out our schedule and pick your preferred service point. Read carefully, a lot of service points are appointment-only. Dont forget to bring:

  • Your prescription
  • Your identification number

3_

Let us
verify

We will contact Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB) to check your eligibility.

If you're eligible, we'll receive a confirmation of the refundable amount from Indigenous Services Canada, along with the authorization document you'll be asked to sign.

If you're NOT eligible, don't worry, we'll find a solution.

Make your
your selection

If you take the basic options*, it is highly likely that the allocated amount will cover the full cost of your glasses.

However, if you take more expensive options (transitions, blue light filter, etc.) you may have to pay the difference.

Pick up
your selection

As soon as they are ready, we contact you so you can come and pick them up. We’ll make small adjustments if needed for your visual comfort.

That’s it. You can now enjoy your glasses as well as our solid warranties!
