What's a Community Eyewear Store ?
We explain it in this in this blog post, but basically, it’s an eyewear store that partners with community organizations to make accessibility a central part of its mission. By keeping operating costs low, they’re able to pass the savings on to customers. In fact, our base prices n’ont presque pas changé depuis notre fondation en 2007. Cela nous permet aussi de servir d’outil de financement pour les organismes communautaires. Nous avons d’ailleurs remis plus de 1,5 million à our community partners over the past two decades.
How does it work ?
It's simple. First, you need to have an eye exam with an optometrist. Once that's done, ask for the prescription and bring it with you when you visit our service point. Anyone can be a customer at Bonhomme à lunettes, regardless of income. An optician will help you choose the best solution for your needs based on your budget. We then send everything to the lab, and when your glasses are ready, we’ll call you to come pick them up.
