Bonhomme à lunettes at l'APARL in Laval

LE BONHOMME À LUNETTES S’ARRÊTE À L’APARL DE LAVAL

With more than 60 points of service, we stop in just about everywhere in Montréal. In Laval, we have 4 weekly service points located across the island. Among them, there's l'APARL (l’Association pour ainés résidant à Laval). Before you ask: yes, anyone can drop in, no matter their age!

L'APARL HAS BEEN THERE FOR A WHILE NOW

APARL was created in 1974 to help counter loneliness among those living in long-term care facilities. Their mission today remains just as noble: offer people 50 and over opportunities for social interaction and to get services and the resources they need to break their isolation, support their autonomy, and promote their home care. Located inside the Groulx Community Center, APARL offers a variety of services including courses of all kinds, cooking workshops, meal events, and even a small café called l’Entretien.

It is actually in this cozy little café that our opticians meet customers every Tuesday morning from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.. For glasses at low prices, come meet us!

A SERVICE FOR EVERYONE

Though APARL’s mission is centred on people 50 and over, its partnership with Bonhomme à lunettes serve people from Saint-Vincent-de-Paul, Duvernay, and Saint-François, explains Julie Perrotte, who helps manage APARL’s volunteers and the association’s activities.

Anyone can need glasses. We welcome Bonhomme à lunettes to allow as many people as possible from all surrounding neighbourhoods to take advantage of their services.

For anyone living in Laval and the surrounding areas looking to save on their next pair of prescription glasses, all this is excellent news. You don't need to spend a fortune to see clearly! Just drop by a community organization that, just like Bonhomme à lunettes, is dedicated to improving the lives of citizens.
